Have you been dreaming of creating a big macramé piece but no idea where to start?

Whether you've experimented with knotting up plant hangers from YouTube videos or attended one of my beginner's workshops over the years, this weekend-long intensive macramé course could be just what you need.

Aimed at those with some macramé knowledge (ideally, you'll already know how to tie some basic knots), this course is about taking your creative capacities to the next level. Everyone will come away with a unique XL wall hanging that you've dreamed up, designed, and knotted yourself.

We'll be going on a bit of a journey together; as such, the course will flow through the following stages:

  • visualising, researching, and designing our piece
  • learning professional tricks for gauging how much material we'll need (whilst minimising waste) and prepping our materials in the most efficient way
  • teasing out your personal aesthetic and translating it into your design
  • setting up a functional, pro-level work space with all the tools and materials you'll need
  • knotting up your design
  • troubleshooting & solving common issues (ever run out of cord halfway through your design? I'll teach you how to fix it!)
  • adding embellishments & expert finishing touches

We'll be using a gorgeous selection of sustainable, natural materials that have been locally sourced wherever possible. Think lush organic cotton, interesting raw plant fibres, oodles of colour choice... and full access to my remote studio's worth of materials.

You'll also enjoy some tasty refreshments throughout the day, and a nourishing vegan lunch on Saturday and Sunday.

All materials, refreshments, and meals are included in your ticket price--that's in addition to 15 hours of training with your very own in-house professional macramé artist.

My intention is to see you all come away from this weekend feeling both relaxed and excited, creatively nourished, confident in your abilities, and ready to progress as an independent fibre artist in your own rite.
